How to Plan a Week of Social Media Content in 30 Minutes (Even After Taking a Break)
If you’ve been feeling inconsistent, overwhelmed, or just straight-up disconnected from your content lately… let me tell you, you’re not alone.
I ghosted my socials for months.
Not because I didn’t care.
Not because I had nothing to say.
But because life was lifing, I was tired, and everything about creating content felt heavy to me.
So this week, I decided to stop overthinking and simply start again, with intention, clarity, and a whole lot of grace. Below, I’m walking you through exactly how I planned my entire week of content using the She Bold Stock Membership (yes, my own system!), so you can do the same.
Watch the full video where I talk through this process in real time.
Why This Matters
You’re not inconsistent — you just need a system that works for your current season.
You don’t need to hustle harder. You need:
A clear content plan
Ready-to-use visuals
Plug-and-play captions
Here’s how I brought all three together this week — in under 30 minutes.
From Stuck to Showing Up: My 3-Step Content Reset
This month, I’m keeping it simple by leaning fully on the tools inside the She Bold Stock membership — and let me just say, it’s made planning content so much easier.
I’m using this month’s done-for-you content kit, which includes:
Content Plan a simple marketing and promotional plan for socials, Pinterest, and email.
Bold, scroll-stopping stock photos
Easy-to-customize stock videos
Canva graphics for Instagram, Reels, and Pinterest
Caption prompts that help me post without overthinking
Instead of scrambling to post every day, I’m following the April Bold Content Plan — which is all about resetting for the new quarter, showing up with purpose, and reconnecting with my audience.
This week, I’m using:
A quote post for encouragement
A carousel post to educate
A relatable reel to connect
Everything was mapped out in under 30 minutes using the Create & Connect content flow built into this month’s kit. Here’s how I used it: in 3 steps
Step 1: Power Planning Day (Takes 5–10 Minutes)
I did this on Sunday, but you can choose any day that works for you. It’s the first thing that gets me back into the flow of creating for my business.
Here’s what I asked myself:
What are 1-3 thing I want to say this week?
What format feels the easiest right now — a quote, carousel, reel, or all three?
This week, my goals were simple:
Inspire my audience to give themselves grace when it comes to taking a break from social mediaa
Educate on why content feels hard sometimes and how to get in a better rhythm that feels good to them
Make them laugh with a relatable post reminding them that She Bold Stock is STILL here to serve them!
My Weekly Content Plan
I wanted to focus on something inspirational, educational, and relatable that would tie into this blog post on Wednesday. I chose 3 styles of content: Quote, Carousel, and Reel.
Monday: Quote Post
Quote: “You’re not inconsistent — you just need a system that works for your life now.”
Used a Canva quote template
Switched out the color palette and photo
Pasted the quote
Wednesday: Carousel Post
Title: My 3 Step System for Showing up without Burnout
Used a carousel template from the membership
Broke down 3 core reasons we ghost our socials
Added 3 practical solutions (Power Planning, visuals, prompts)
Ended with a call to action to read the full post
Friday: Relatable Reel
Title: When you haven’t posted in weeks but remember you have a She Bold Stock template saved
I actually took inspo from a video I seen on Instagram and instead of overthinking I just created it, Done over Perfect!
Filmed a short video using a trending audio
Paired it with a She Bold Stock Reels template that I actually used as a Reels cover instead.
Step 2: Grab Ready-to-Go Visuals
I didn’t scroll Pinterest. I didn’t try to shoot new photos I just opened the latest content kit and pulled:
A quote-style stock photo from the latest collection
I actually just grab fun gifs from Canva by searching terms like “tired,“ “Action,“ “yes“, “plan“
A behind-the-scenes-style video I took for my reel
Everything inside She Bold Stock is curated for service-based entrepreneurs, so it already fits my brand and saves me time.
Step 3: Plug in Prompts & Captions
Our content kit includes a full caption prompt library and pre-written content ideas. Here’s what I used this week and decided to tweak it with the help of Chat GPT and a bit of creativity:
Quote Post Prompt: “The best advice I ever received was [insert advice]. It’s been a guiding light in my journey. What’s the best advice you’ve received?”
Here’s how this can be changed for my blog post: “
Quote Caption Example:
“The best advice I ever received was: “You’re not inconsistent — you just need a system that works for your life right now.”
It’s been a guiding light in my journey, especially as I’ve learned to show up for my business with more grace and less guilt.
This week, I planned a full week of content after ghosting my socials for months — and I did it in under 30 minutes using my own system (yes, really).
I broke down exactly how I did it on the blog. If you’ve been feeling disconnected or overwhelmed with content lately, this one’s for you.
